HGA's Healthcare (HC) practice is seeking a Digital Design Specialist to join our team in the Milwaukee office. This position is intended to provide Revit model specific support to architects, planners, and designers who actively use Revit for project delivery.

 

The individual will take ownership of the Revit model setup and continued management of the Architectural models on active projects. The majority of the time will be spent working directly on HC projects in Milwaukee, and occasionally, in other HC departments across different HGA offices. A portion of the time will be spent receiving the needed training / support from the national HGA Digital Practice Group (DPG) team to incorporate the related standards.

 

The role provides on-going user support, troubleshooting, and content development on assigned projects. Working with the DPG, this role assists in the continued promotion and development of BIM throughout our practice. The individual will also be accountable to DPG’s Strategic Projects team who will provide the necessary guidance, training, and support to this role in implementing firmwide digital design workflows, strategic initiatives, and any client-specific BIM requirements.

In this role you will:

  1. setup the Revit model using HGA BIM standard workflows;
  2. maintain and manage Revit model health for smooth operation/performance of the models;
  3. troubleshoot Revit user issues within the broader HC team;
  4. assist with BIM coordination responsibilities where necessary;
  5. provide continuing quality assurance with project teams to maintain BIM quality and standards;
  6. ensure adherence to BIM execution plans and firm-wide modeling and information standards. Communicate/coordinate BIM related workflows with project team;
  7. coordinate with BIM leads in other disciplines;
  8. attend coordination / clash detection meetings as necessary;
  9. represent the respective team/discipline in regular Revit meetings as needed;
  10. manage requests from HC team members for content creation on project specific content;
  11. maintain continuity of information across multiple applications.
  12. provide general setup, configuration, and customization of standard design and production applications; 
  13. assist in training and provide technical support for HGA staff, both one-on-one and in group class setting; and 
  14. handle customization, trouble shooting and product testing. Warning and Error messages management

You will need to have:

  • Associate degree and preferably 2-5 years of experience working on architectural projects in Revit
  • Familiarity with basic construction types
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and motivation to learn
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic
  • Strong knowledge and use of Revit and standard Microsoft Office products like Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Intermediate knowledge and use of Sketchup, Rhino, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite
  • A demonstrated understanding of project workflows from design to construction administration, building from knowledge of industry standards, workflows and data formats. Certification in Revit (preferred but not required).

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $26.15 - $33.08/hour.
