The Digital Copywriter’s mission is to develop and execute website copy, blog posts, social media posts, advertising copy, and other digital content that drives results and produces positive ROI for our clients.
The key expectations of the Digital Copywriter are to:
- Write effective and compelling website content, blog posts, social media posts, and digital advertisements that drive revenue and relevant traffic
- Create effective content calendars that align with overall client strategy
- Analyze content performance to determine opportunities for improvement
The success of the Digital Copywriter will be measured by:
- Ability to write copy that satisfies client retainers and drives measurable results that align with client goals
- Executing content strategies within client retainers
- Successful collaboration with other marketing professionals
Demonstrated Skills and Key Competencies:
The Digital Copywriter will have 1-3+ years of experience demonstrating the following:
Core Content Writing Skills:
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of content marketing and writing skills, best practices, trends, and news
- Understands core content writing skills and is proficient in grammar, sentence structure, and word choice
- Stays on top of content marketing news, frequently pursues new knowledge, and presents ideas to the team
Channel and Audience Versatility:
- Successful in adapting writing for a wide range of audiences and channels
- Is proficient in writing copy for websites, blogs, ads, emails, and social media
- Understands the nuances required to be successful writing across multiple channels
- Demonstrates success writing copy that’s targeted to specific audiences
- Writes copy within a client’s desired voice and tone; when appropriate, can create the voice and tone for the client
- Understands how to conduct keyword research and/or effectively implement keywords into blog post content, headers, etc. as necessary for SEO purposes
Innovation and Creativity:
- Writes engaging, compelling, and effective copy that is unique and pushes boundaries as appropriate
- Employs effective storytelling techniques to create standout copy
- Develops unique content that captures the client’s voice and appeals to their target audience
- Creates well-planned content calendars and generates effective and creative topics
Salary: $60,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.
