Western Wisconsin Health is looking for a full-time Development Manager to join our leadership team! This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the structure and functionality of the WW Health Foundation to support the organization’s mission. This role leads fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and grant development, ensuring long-term financial sustainability. A top priority is identifying, applying for, and managing grant funding. Additionally, this position supervises a part-time Foundation and Marketing Specialist, ensuring alignment between development and marketing strategies. All of this is done to support the organization’s mission while living our values.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years related experience
  • Prior experience in grant writing, fundraising, and donor relations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years leadership experience
  • Certification specializing in Fund Raising credentialed from the Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) International
  • Prior fundraising, event planning and coordination experience
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and grant compliance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with prospective corporate and foundation donors and interact via telephone and in person with institutional representatives.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to take ownership of diverse projects and complete them independently within deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to research, apply for, and manage grants, ensuring compliance and reporting requirements are met.
  • Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
  • Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards
  • Ability to clearly and effectively convey information to individuals or groups, including ability to choose the appropriate method or methods of communication
  • Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgment
  • Exhibit an independent drive and demonstrated ability to lead change
