Marcus Hotels & Resorts is searching for a Corporate Marketing Manager to expand our growing Marketing Team. This role will report to the Corporate Director of Marketing and handle multiple projects across the Hotel Division’s. We are seeking a fun loving, team oriented, entrepreneurial marketing professional, that is always on the lookout for fun ways to drive revenue through new and creative strategies.

This position provides strategic guidance and tactical execution on all marketing and public relations efforts. Experience and good working knowledge of social media, public relations, digital, and email marketing are essential to success in this role. Exceptional communication skills are important in this role to engage and manage expectations with a variety of stakeholders as well as external resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long-term strategies in support of Marcus Rewards programing, Marcus Gift Cards, and other division marketing tactics to enhance and drive revenue.
  • Implement tactics outlined in yearly marketing plan. 
  • Pitch ideas, promotions, and collaborations that increase engagement with fan base. 
  • Identify digital opportunities across specific location projects portfolio to improve performance. Research and present solution opportunities to Director of Corporate Marketing. 
  • Handle contract negotiations, implementation, training, and solution implementation and eventual adoption at each locations across portfolio. 
  • Vet incoming opportunities from multiple sources and develop recommendations. 
  • Collaborate with Operations and Marketing Teams at each location to develop unique promotions and events to heighten location awareness and increase revenues. 
  • Create and execute marketing strategies around promotional offers to drive repeat business and manage updates to local listings. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute social media and email marketing efforts, including an awareness strategy for each channel to drive rewards program visibility, engagement and participation. 
  • Manage and implement website updates. 
  • Oversee and manage online listings for designated properties. 
  • Lead reporting efforts on all media spend, marketing efforts, and agency support to track success or identify areas to improve. 
  • Maintain and analyze reporting documents to identify trends, what factors played into outcome, and potential pivot based on results. 
  • Research, analyze, and monitor various environmental factors to capitalize on market opportunities. 
  • Manage PR agencies and activities to produce earned media across all channels. 
  • Manage and liaison with third-party agencies on all efforts including design, digital spend, advertising campaigns, and more. 
  • Create and oversee the development of promotional and collateral materials. 
  • Maintain brand standards throughout all promotional materials, communications, and events. 
  • Manage and control budgets, and work with accounting to process invoices. 
  • Other tasks, there will likely be many, as assigned.
Position Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred in a related field of study, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related. 
  • 3 years’ experience in the marketing field required, experience in a hospitality, restaurant or attraction based environment highly desired. 
  • Possess computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Outlook and social media management tools including Google Analytics, Google Ads, content creation design software, email-marketing platforms, and more. 
  • Experience with CRMs and how to be engaging but not "Junk Mail" or "Always Block Sender" material. 
  • Understanding of digital media & reporting. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Must be a strong communicator, able to connect with all levels, demographics, and audiences both verbally and in writing, both short (social media) and long form. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate various options and quickly make recommendations. 
  • Must be self-motivated and able to meet multiple deadlines. 
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of comfort using computers and internet applications and resources is required. 
  • The availability to travel as needed is required. 
  • Highly organized. Attention to detail is a personal way of life, you are ideally a planner, maybe even obsessive to a point you drive friends and family crazy, at times. 
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically. 
  • Professional demeanor. 
  • Budget management experience.
