The Copywriter will join our creative team to produce engaging, clear, and strategic copy across a range of channels, including print, digital, video, and mobile. The Copywriter will work closely with marketing and communication professionals, designers, videographers and other cross-functional teams to craft content that resonates with our diverse customer audiences and aligns with Graco’s brand identity. This role will play a critical role in executing Graco’s brand story and voice, ensuring it resonates in key content initiatives and marketing campaigns. Copywriter is ideal for a strategic thinker who excels in a collaborative environment and is committed to elevating brand through exceptional copywriting and content strategy.

What you will do at Graco:

Content Creation & Strategy:

  • Write compelling, action-driven content for various marketing channels, including brochures, promotional materials, event signage, customer and distributor communications, point of sale materials, email communications, digital communication, product descriptions, presentations, video scripts, promotions and advertising copy. 
  • Adapt style and messaging to engage and persuade specific target audiences to achieve business goals.

Persuasive Copy Development:

  • Interpret creative direction and technical information to create copy concepts to convert leads into sales. 
  • Create copy that educates while it persuades, writing creatively while thinking strategically. 
  • Bring our brand storytelling to life in our marketing efforts, finding creative solutions that propel our business forward.

Client & Team Collaboration:

  • Meet with clients and team members to understand produce value propositions, project goals, brand voice, and audience. 
  • Partner with design and marketing teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand alignment.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing quality with efficiency in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Organize tasks to meet tight deadlines and uphold Graco’s standards of excellence. 
  • Manage multiple projects through project management software to meet deadlines from concept to delivery.

Research & Industry Trends:

  • Conduct thorough research on industry, product, and customer needs. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant. 
  • Utilize digital and AI tools to enhance content creation, optimize workflows, and maintain industry-leading practices.

Presentation & Revision:

  • Propose copy concepts, present ideas to stakeholders, and revise based on feedback, ensuring the final product aligns with client expectations, Graco brand standards and business objectives.

Edit & Refine:

  • Adapt tone, style and messaging to suit different target demographics while maintaining consistent brand voice. 
  • Review and refine existing copy across all channels, ensuring consistency, and effectiveness.

What you will bring to Graco:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, creative writing, advertising, marketing, communications, or related field. 
  • 3+ years of professional copywriting experience, showcasing a strong portfolio of work across varied media. 
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt style and tone to create clear, persuasive, and impactful content. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a cross-functional team. 
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on clarity, accuracy, and consistency, ensuring engagement in complex materials. 
  • Strong collaborator with a proven track record in cross-functional teamwork and the ability to work independently when needed. 
  • Proactive problem-solver with a growth mindset and the ability to balance creativity and strategy to deliver results. 
  • Familiarity with standard style guides and proofreading experience. 
  • Experience with content management systems and an appreciation for effective design. 
  • Strong command of the AP editorial style, with experience adapting for brand-specific guidelines. 
  • Skilled at presenting ideas clearly and effectively, with the ability to communicate complex information in an engaging manner. 
  • Sense of urgency and decisiveness, along with sound problem-solving and negotiating skills.

Accelerators:

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • Experience with UX writing and understanding of user journeys, especially in digital contexts. 
  • Knowledge of content accessibility standards and inclusive writing practices. 
  • Experience conducting A/B testing and using insights to iterate on content for improved performance. 
  • Proficiency in multiple languages a plus.
