POSITION SUMMARY:

The Content Marketing Intern at SICK has the opportunity to support the SICK brand through a variety of content-focused projects. SICK’s marketing team is full of ideas to further establish the brand with bold and exciting campaigns, and we need a candidate who is eager to contribute to our vision with their own ideas and the ability to execute projects across a number of content disciplines. The intern will have the opportunity to work within a team to gain knowledge and first-hand experience of what a career in this industry would be like.

This internship is for the summer of 2024.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create content for social media, newsletter, blog, and/or other platforms for both internal and external communications. 
  • Create written customer-focused content, including white papers, ebooks, case studies, and more. 
  • Work closely with graphic design team to create written content to accompany visual aids for use on digital platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, landing page copy, digital ad copy, and more. 
  • Assist with video marketing campaigns by writing video scripts and overall video development/production 
  • Work closely with the manager and a selected mentor to understand systems, processes, and key information. 
  • Actively seek out information to learn how SICK operates as a business (products, departments, etc.). 
  • Interface with other departments and interns to gain knowledge of the business, products, positions and more. 
  • Complete a final presentation at the close of the internship that outlines the involved project(s) and knowledge gained. 
  • Provide feedback on the internship experience at the close of the internship. 
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.

Education and Experience:

  • Enrolled in an accredited University/College program, preferably within Journalism, Communications, English, Writing Studies, or related areas of study. 
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision. 
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas. 
  • Able to self-start and learn on the fly. 
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States. 
  • Able to work in a general office environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical writing experience 
  • Experience conducting informational interviews for content creation 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, PhotoShop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, etc.
