Located in beautiful Grainger Hall in the heart of the UW-Madison campus, you will be energized by the surroundings, the buzz of student life, and the leading-edge research of our world-renowned faculty. You can expect to work with a collaborative, talented, and dedicated in-house agency team that includes marketing strategists, designers, copywriters, editors, a photographer, and a PR staff who work together seamlessly to tell the school’s story. This relatively new department, Integrated Marketing Communications, produced dramatic results from campaigns over the last year, and is looking for an outstanding content marketer and social media maven to help keep the momentum going.
This position works closely with colleagues in the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) unit as well as faculty and staff within the Wisconsin School of Business (WSB). Primary responsibilities include developing and executing content strategies, promoting faculty research, editorial planning for owned media (web and social media), copyediting content, driving engagement and enhancing the School's social media presence, and managing web site home page content. This position will ensure brand consistency in the "voice" of the Wisconsin School of Business in all content.
Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in content marketing, social media content development and platforms management, writing/blogging and editing, editorial planning, and metrics analysis and tracking in a marketing or communications function. Agency experience preferred. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience as a content marketer and social media strategist with an editorial background who can translate complex concepts for a mass audience. Must be able to deliver great storytelling content that engages.
