Pastorate 22 is comprised of the parishes of Good Shepherd and St. Raphael Cathedral in Madison, WI, which include the churches of St. Patrick, St. Joseph, St. James, and Holy Redeemer, and the school of St. James. We are a bilingual parish seeking to overhaul our communications and social media. We are looking for someone to take ownership of communications, design, branding, and marketing in our community. As the Content Creator & Coordinator you are a key member of the Operations Team and report directly to the Director of Operations. You are responsible for creating, designing, writing, and proofreading all print, digital, and video content for our central hub website, social media, printed media, and verbal announcements.

Operations Team Responsibilities: 

  • Attend weekly staff formation. 
  • Participate in weekly Operations team meetings. 
  • Attend weekly one-on-one with your supervisor, the Director of Operations. 
  • Regularly collaborate with the Evangelization Team to keep the content mission focused. 
  • Regularly collaborate with Outreach & Event Coordinator to offer a platform for publishing content related to ministries and events. 

Central Hub Website Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all design, writing, and proofreading of our church and school websites. 
  • Help ministries, teams, and committees connect, use, and update the website. 
  • Integrate Substack, Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, WhatsApp, YouTube, and Google Suite into the website. 

Digital Media Responsibilities:

  • Design and write daily posts across all platforms. 
  • Perform photography and photo editing for all digital media. 
  • Perform video design, writing, and editing for all digital media.

Print Media Responsibilities:

  • Design, write, and proofread all print media including bulletin, flyers, reminders, and promotional handouts.
Verbal Announcements
  • Write and proofread all verbal weekend announcements.

Working Environment:

  • Hybrid work schedule, at least 9am-3pm Monday-Thursday in office.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A strong work ethic, admits mistakes, works well with others, displays patience and enthusiasm. 
  • Detail-oriented, eye-for-design, and tenaciously bring projects to completion. 
  • Experience preferred.
  • A portfolio showcasing graphic design work. 
  • An associate's degree in advertising, marketing, graphic design or related field (bachelor's preferred). 
  • Proficiency with graphic design using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar. 
  • Proficiency with video editing using iMovie, Canva, Premier Rush, or similar. 
  • Proficiency with web design using WordPress, HTML, Wix, eCatholic, or similar tools. 
  • Proficiency with social media applications including Substack, Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. 
  • We highly value experience with and understanding of Hispanic cultures. 
  • Spanish-speaking preferred. 
  • A strong understanding of the Catholic faith would be required to create relevant content relating to our organization.

Hourly pay based on experience, with premium paid for Spanish written fluency.
