As a Communications Specialist, you will execute internal communications strategies for the Strategic Insights business unit, including key messaging, communication channels, and tactics. Support process optimization, project management, cross-department collaboration, and special projects to enhance team productivity and achieve performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communications

  • Execute the internal communications strategy for the Strategic Insights business unit, including key messaging, communication channels, and tactics 
  • Create and deliver Strategic Insights content, including email updates, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations 
  • Work with key organizational stakeholders to ensure all communication is approved and signed off by featured business units 
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis 
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that communications are timely and relevant

Business Operations and Project Management

  • Recommend and implement streamlined solutions that eliminate inefficiencies and improve productivity across the team 
  • Run and analyze weekly project management meetings, help team identify capacity issues and resource allocation 
  • Serve as a liaison with other departments such as Legal, Finance, IT, Privacy to ensure smooth project implementation 
  • Create and manage libraries of templates for team members to use, such as recruitment screeners, email templates, discussion guides, deliverable templates 
  • Organize agendas for team meetings, including by arranging for trainings, speakers, and team-building activities 
  • Support project management of events 
  • Maintain and report out on team progress toward performance goals 
  • Support other key team initiatives as requested

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism or related field 
  2. Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in internal or external communications, or marketing
  3. Proven track record in developing and executing communication strategies; experience in healthcare industry a plus 
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to draft and edit content 
  5. Solid project management skills; experience in process optimization and resource allocation a plus 
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail 
  7. Some travel may be required

The pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is use $66k-85k. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs.
