We are currently seeking a Communications Manager, Global HSSE to help shape and deliver the Global HSSE communications strategy, driving internal alignment and engagement, and fostering a work environment where every individual feels empowered to prioritize HSSE, not only for themselves, but for their colleagues, clients, service partners and communities. This role will collaborate closely with communication colleagues, supporting the wider Work Dynamics business and JLL-wide communications initiatives with a primary focus of promoting HSSE across the entire firm. The Communications Manager, Global HSSE is a member of the Work Dynamics Communications team, reporting to Global Head of Communications, Work Dynamics.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop communications strategy & plan, including metrics and objectives, to drive engagement and change management within the organization—tying together multiple communication touchpoints to deliver standardized HSSE messaging and toolkits. 
  • Raise awareness of the HSSE strategy, engaging all colleagues globally in our “One Team S.A.F.E.R. together” vision through a multi-channel approach. Channels include: global town halls, video, newsletters, email via Poppulo and Outlook, Microsoft Teams, leadership cascade, social media and SharePoint. 
  • Drive engagement of HSSE employees to: a) Collaborate and share best practices and b) Promote and celebrate success: Achieving our purpose, living our values, delighting stakeholders, suppliers and clients, and delivering our strategy 
  • Amplify HSSE success stories, working in partnership with internal and external communications and Marketing colleagues to increase awareness of our safety culture and the value of our HSSE team. 
  • Ensure organisational initiatives, special events and projects are successfully communicated internally to employees and stakeholders. 
  • Lead Global Safety Week planning and communications, a multi-channel, enterprise-wide program to bring our safety culture to the forefront and align externally with the U.N. World Day for Safety and Health at Work. 
  • As the HSSE communications subject matter expert, take on special projects as needed to further business objectives and support key stakeholders. 
  • Create clear, concise and timely communications that simplify and deliver key messages tied to HSSE priorities and goals and foster employee understanding and commitment, with Global HSSE CoE support and direction. 
  • Work closely with executives to prepare speeches, scripts and presentations for executive-level speaking engagements, including internal and external events. 
  • Develop thought leadership blog posts and articles on behalf of executives and write social media posts to promote HSSE global observances. 
  • Manage HSSE’s major intranet, collaboration sites and internal communities. 
  • Build strong relationships with global stakeholders across JLL. 
  • Work closely with and support regional HSSE leads with communications and implementation of best practices, including templates. 
  • Assist with the internal communications response to health crisis situations as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in communications with a track record of successfully delivering communications strategies and campaigns. 
  • University Degree (English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field preferred) 
  • Background working in a global, matrixed organization preferred. 
  • Experience managing multiple communications channels and reaching global audiences. 
  • A creative thinker with demonstrated success in translating broad concepts and ideas into clear, multi-channel communications. 
  • Excellent written, digital and verbal communication skills; ability to bring disparate audiences together around an inspiring story and compelling messages. 
  • Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate a fast-paced global organization and promote priorities of multiple senior leaders concurrently. 
  • Collaborative individual who works well in a team environment. 
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, client service and our strong focus on safety for all
