Communications Manager - Americas

What's the role?

As a Communications Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping HERE Technologies' presence in the U.S. market. You'll lead media relations efforts to enhance brand awareness and position HERE as a thought leader in the technology, automotive, and logistics sectors. Working collaboratively across teams, you’ll develop and execute integrated communication strategies that extend across media relations, social media, internal engagement, and marketing. Your work will ensure consistent messaging and strong brand visibility. This Chicago based role reports to the Director of Global Media Advocacy and sits within the Corporate Communications team.

Some responsibilities are the following:

• Media Relations: Develop and implement targeted media strategies that increase awareness, generate media interest, and showcase HERE’s industry leadership. 
• Thought Leadership: Position HERE as a key player in the transition to software-defined, connected, electric, and automated vehicles. 
• Integrated Communications: Partner with internal teams to align messaging across PR, marketing, and social media for maximum impact. 
• Employee Engagement & Measurement: Track and communicate PR successes, equipping employees with shareable content and fostering company pride. 
• Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of industry and media trends to shape messaging and keep HERE at the center of relevant conversations.

Who are you?

You are a strategic and resourceful Communications Manager that brings a proactive mindset and collaborative approach to your work. You’ll be successful in this role with most of the following:

• 5-7+ years of experience in B2B corporate or technology communications, either in-house or at a PR agency. 
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling media pitches, narratives, and thought leadership content. 
• A proven ability to connect media relations with social media and marketing for cohesive storytelling. 
• Experience with media monitoring, trend analysis, and PR measurement tools, including AI-powered solutions. 
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across teams and geographies. 
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The expected base salary range for this position is $121,100 to $173,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience.

This position is also eligible for a target annual performance, which is subject to company and individual performance.
