What you will do: 

The Communications Director – Americas will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the America’s region communication strategy. This role involves developing and implementing communication plans and tactics, accountability for the region’s public relations strategy, and ensuring employee alignment to our strategy and their role delivering value for our customers. The Communications Director will partner closely with the President of the Americas region to effectively convey the region’s strategy, priorities and values to both internal and external audiences. 
How you will do it:

  • Support the President of the Americas region, providing executive communications support, strategic communications planning and regional communications management.  
  • Serve as a dedicated member of the Americas leadership team, partnering closely across the team to drive the growth strategy and execution of initiatives. 
  • Serve as a people manager, leading and mentoring a team of high-performing communications professionals to drive impactful messaging and engagement.
  • Craft compelling content, including PowerPoint, memos, videos, presentations and executive messaging.
  • Be accountable for the public relations strategy of the region by partnering closely with the senior manager, public relations, to build and protect reputation and enable customer growth. 
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand identity across all communication channels.
  • Provides exceptional written and verbal skills for communication-related projects or work as otherwise assigned. 
  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions. 

What we look for: 

Required:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field. 
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or executive communications with at least 5 years' leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communications plans.
  • Exceptional writing, messaging, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling content across traditional, digital and social media channels.
  • Experience influencing across a matrixed organization and partnering with senior leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills, capable of building trust and consensus among stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to deliver and manage concurrent projects, manage ambiguity, and be flexible in your approach 

Preferred:

  • MBA / Advanced degree  
  • Experience in the industrial / industrial tech industry or experience in a field-based business (O&G, construction, real estate).
  • Proven track record in crisis and issues management, with the ability to navigate complex, high-pressure situations.
