In particular, s/he will help manage the Firm’s Contact Relationship Management (CRM) system and database of foreign counsel, and will drive the relationship intelligence gathered from these systems. S/he will assist with the integration of information between relationship systems and other internal/external sources to develop a comprehensive view of the Firm’s touchpoints with contacts. The Marketing Systems Specialist will work closely with attorneys, practice development leaders and other functional areas in the Firm to ensure quality content and timely delivery of relationship information and will assist with development of marketing systems strategy, policies, budget and roadmap.
The Marketing Systems Specialist will assist with daily operations and quality control for relationship systems and will direct the efforts of two (or more) Marketing Systems Assistants. Daily operations include mailing list management, marketing campaign intelligence, contact/company research, user administration, subscription management and data maintenance. Quality control includes systematic search, comparison and cleanup of relationship data as well as data compliance with advertising, conflicts or technology rules. The Marketing Systems Specialist will provide analysis, intelligence and best practice recommendations for Business Development initiatives such as mailings and events.
The Marketing Systems Specialist will also work closely with various other groups (Information Technology, Training, vendors/consultants ) to support the Firm’s CRM Program, which will consist of the CRM System deployment to the Firm’s partners. S/he will provide current state analysis of the business development processes, rules and procedures that underpin the CRM and will play a role in many of the individual project tracks in the program including migration, business process re-engineering, functional testing and end-user training. S/he will ensure continued operational efficiency of all existing CRM processes while helping to define and implement the new CRM model.
Job responsibilities include:
- Support the Firm’s Contact Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Oversee daily operations, business processes/procedures and quality control.
- Supervise some members of the CRM team.
- Support the Firm’s database of foreign counsel.
- Work with attorneys to identify preferred providers and conduct research to expand and enhance content.
- Publish country directories.
- Support the integration of relationship systems to internal and external sources.
- Research, analyze and implement key data exchanges to build a comprehensive view of the Firm’s touchpoints with contacts (e.g., clients, prospects, referrals, etc.).
- Generate marketing intelligence from relationship systems.
- Provide tactical recommendations on identifying, targeting and cross-marketing Firm contacts (e.g., clients, prospects, referrals, etc.).
- Proactively identify trends and opportunities to drive marketing systems strategy.
- Work with the Marketing Systems Manager on the upcoming CRM Program rollout.
- Provide business analysis on the current and future state of CRM processes and procedures.
- Play a lead role in the data cleanup, migration and training project tracks for the attorney CRM deployment.
- Support the contact subscription process.
- Maintain metrics on electronic mailing campaigns, bounce backs and opt-out requests.
- Work with the email marketing campaign vendor to develop self-service capabilities for contact updates and subscription preferences.
