The Business Development Professional is responsible for growing new opportunities and supporting existing clients and by leveraging networking skills. He/She will foster relationships with new KTGY clients and provide support to current clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research, target and develop opportunities using business development techniques (i.e. contact calls, meetings, presentations, etc.) 
  • Cultivate strong long term relationships with key client decision makers and develop deep knowledge of interests, needs, and critical success factors. 
  • Work directly with management to develop annual growth plans, key marketing plan, and customer acquision strategies. 
  • Assist in developing creative solutions to proposed business opportunities (alliances, partnerships and affiliations). 
  • Represent KTGY at industry events (i.e., conferences, speaking engagements, etc.) and meet with prospective clients while attending such events. 
  • Represent KTGY in industry and community organizations (ULI, HBAGC, IHC, etc.) 
  • Utilize knowledge of market trends, industry and competitors to assist the Principals in creating and presenting competitive responses to RFP’s. 
  • Actively participate in the design and strategy processes for proposals and SOQ’s. 
  • Maintain prospective client list, record face to face contacts, and provide reporting to management when requested. 
  • Keep up with all prospects and contacts to allow for new project opportunities to be immediately known to our office. 
  • Liaise with marketing studio (Irvine office) to develop effective materials and communicate studio marketing budget needs. 
  • Update Chicago marketing data and create brochure pages, emails and client correspondence. 
  • Research and identify networking opportunities with Chicago and Midwestern trade organizations, professional organizations and real estate groups. 
  • Assist in selecting which groups to join and conferences to attend. 
  • Coordinate with other KYGY Business Development Professionals to ensure consistency with the process, procedures, methods and techniques. 
  • Provide back up support to administrative staff and efforts. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships. 
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Advanced understanding and proficiency using the following software: MS Office, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam Revu, Oracle, Deltek or other CRM software

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing 
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful management and leadership experience 
  • Experience and knowledge of the A/E industry and Deltek Vision is preferred

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • 4-year degree in related field and/or combination of required education and experience.
  • Knowledge of architectural/engineering proposal writing and RFP responses.
