Position Overview:

This position supports the marketing team and is responsible for developing and supporting brand-building activities that 1) grow awareness and understanding of how Rotary drives impact through our causes, local and global humanitarian service, and philanthropy efforts, and 2) support the objectives of key business units including Philanthropy, Areas of Focus and Service and Engagement. You will have the opportunity to apply your marketing and communication skills to drive cause-related marketing efforts that highlight the impact Rotary makes. Your contribution will support our strategic priorities and corporate marketing initiatives.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Serving as the liaison between the Marketing team and specified business unit(s), developing and implementing marketing plans that support Rotary’s Action Plan and business unit objectives 
  • Guiding messaging and content creation to support internal and external facing communications related to impact storytelling centered around service and grant-funded projects 
  • Creating tools and resources to help members better define and demonstrate impact in their service projects 
  • Providing effective day-to-day leadership, marketing direction, opportunity identification and guidance to business partners and cross-functional teams 
  • Collaborating with other Marketing Leads to identify, develop, and activate cause-related and brand marketing opportunities and paid/donated media strategies that increase engagement and raise public understanding of Rotary and its impact 
  • Developing project and creative briefs in collaboration with cross-department counterparts and shepherding through internal processes 
  • Managing global content development, story mining and asset creation to ensure and maximize alignment to organizational priorities and objectives 
  • Assisting in identifying and fostering cause-marketing relationships with other organizations to achieve business and communication objectives 
  • Contributing to marketing planning and execution to support Rotary events, including exhibits, breakouts, activations, etc. 
  • Working with advanced insights (e.g. segmentation) to integrate data/evidence into marketing strategies and content 
  • Managing budgets 
  • Overseeing and mentoring staff 
  • Managing agencies, vendors, and freelancers 
  • Contributing to ongoing process improvement

You Will Have:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree - Advertising, Marketing, Communications focus preferred 
  • 4-6 years of experience working in Account Management or Planning at an advertising or marketing agency, or within a client-side marketing environment (global marketing a plus) 
  • Integrated marketing experience, including planning, audience targeting, advertising and content/communication development 
  • Market research and analysis experience, with skill using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform strategy and solve business issues 
  • Experience working with internal and external partners and agencies, managing content, creative, campaign development and execution 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills—comfortable with multi-tasking 
  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical priorities 
  • Comfortable working on complex and sometimes ambiguous tasks 
  • Flexibility and strength as a team player 
  • Experience in cause-related marketing and communicating impact is preferred 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
