The Assistant Brand Manager – Optimum Nutrition is responsible for execution and optimization of annual brand plans for new and existing products within product lines & groups. You will collaborate with Insights, Finance, Sales, & Integrated Marketing teams to drive growth for the business.  You will be responsible for ongoing business reporting and analysis to oversee key drivers of the business as well as identify risks and opportunities to the annual operating plan. This is a flexible, hybrid position from the corporate office in Downers Grove, IL. 

Responsibilities:

  • Key contributor to Brand team and responsible for execution and on-going optimization of brand’s strategic plan & innovation pipeline
  • Supports delivery of brand’s P&L goals and the creation and delivery of the financials of assigned product groups
  • Assists in the development and implantation of annual brand plans
  • Measures & monitors business performance, competitive activity & category trends, develops recommendations to address performance vs. plan
  • Responsible for leading Monthly Business Reviews for assigned product groups
  • Owns day to day budget management and strategically evaluates ROI/ recommends future spend
  • Leads the briefing of internal/external creative teams for packaging development, marketing assets, and in-store executions for assigned product groups
  • Collaborates with insights & analytics, utilizing data to translate learnings into brand portfolio strategy
  • Collaborates with customer planning and strategy to support sales presentations and materials development for sell-in of new items
  • Leads the ideation and implementation of innovation strategies for assigned lines: Includes leading innovation projects through stage gate process and successful launch in market, meeting target launch dates
  • Lead assigned projects from start to finish: Monitor timelines, develop project deliverables and meet key milestones, ensuring efficient, on-time delivery
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of strategies to meet short- and long-term goals
  • Performs day-to-day business management activities and executes other projects or activities as requested
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities, deal with ambiguity and work with a variety of stakeholders

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with at least 2 years of CPG relevant experience and advanced degree (MBA)
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about health & wellness
  • Communicates effectively and builds relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Strong PowerPoint building and presentation skills with the ability to persuade audiences (internal and external key stakeholders)
  • Previous experience pulling an analyzing syndicated data (NIQ, Spins, etc) preferred
