Intern needed with experience in In-store Advertising and Promotions. Intern will be responsible for developing and executing the design and layout of internal promotional material and signage for Community Warehouse in conjunction with Brent Halfwassen, General Manager and John Lesko, Director. This is an opportunity to shape and mould the entire in-store advertising theme for our retail operation.
Projects for the summer will include:
1) Design new in-store product signage and display templates to clearly identify products, their prices and attributes.
2) Update and create warehouse aisle signs to clarify product location.
3) Create quality visual media to highlight partner organizations, donors, and new products.
4) Create aesthetically appropriate media to present our member policies, our company story, mission and vision.
5) Design new in-store promotions templates and signs to properly highlight product on sale.
6) Update our temporary sales event signs to match the theme selected for in-store advertising.

This will be an unpaid position with reimbursements to cover transportation, food and materials while working with us. This is an excellent opportunity to put academic marketing skills into practice and to design, execute and evaluate a complete in-store promotions strategy over a defined period of time. Very few internships can offer this level of involvement and interaction with direct management and board members with substantial retail experience. The role will take 12-20 hours per week. Use of your own personal laptop will be required. Work space will be provided for you in our offices. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful but not required.
